Last night was epic! I had a total blast demoing the new hyped MvC3. The day was just solid and I was totally happy about everything one and everything thing. It was all just great! 

We got there and like seriously, I’m sure me and my friends were like coming up as the 400th participants. The first 100 arrived at like 2:30pm and had already received armbands with numbers 1-100. Lazy asses, I had work so when I got there it looked like this 

Not the best pic, but still it was intense. We were in a big ass parking lot and that line began to wrap around in a snake leading out and onto the sidewalk. They called the first 100 and then the line breaks and everyone just started cutting everyone. I was majorly pissed cause we had the opportunity to cut and we didn’t cause we didn’t want to seem like typical niggas. But once we saw our friends, all bets were off. We cut at least like 100+ people and made it to receive the 300 bonus armbands for special prizes. I was too geek’d!

We finally got let in about 8:30ish and the place was seriously packed and hot! They had a ton of stations set up for us, although they only used PS3 consoles, with a mix of controllers and fight sticks. I really wanted to try out a fight stick but I didn’t get the chance cause the controller lines were moving way better. I got to go up against my best friend and of course he kicked my ass -_- but I got in a few good hits with Hulk and Deadpool

Let me just say, this game looks SO much better in person on a nice HDTV. The graphics were insane and had a damn good comic book feel to it. The pics and vids on the net do this game no justice, like I seriously was kinda turned off by the graphic style until last night. That shit was beyond ridiculous. It looked great.

I was kind of pissed that we didn’t get to see the newly revealed characters like Spiderman and Wesker. But the roster is tight, a few name drops though:

• Thor got called a hack all night
• Dante was dubbed Prince of Juggling
• Amaterasu is a beast
• Wolverine = Rape

But all in all the night was epic. My friends were killing people. My one friend a record of 13 - 1, another was 9-1, hell even my girl won her match. This was a huge deal cause normally these types of events are held in L.A. or New York, but I think Chicago proved last night that we love fighters and that we are a go to city to make an impact on the scene. As a recipient of being in the first 300 to get there we got SSFV shot glasses, $10 gift card to Marvel digital comics, and an 8-bit sticker. Life is sweet.
